Title: Spaghetti with Tomato Basil Sauce

2tbOlive oil
1/3cChopped onion
3/4tsMinced garlic
28ozCan crushed Italian tomatoes
3tbFresh basil leaves, minced
3/4tsSalt
1/2tsGranulated sugar
1/4tsGround black pepper
1lbSpaghetti, cooked and drained

In a large saucepan, over medium heat, heat oil until hot. Add onion and garlic. Cook, about 5 minutes, stirring, until lightly browned. Stir in tomatoes, basil, salt, sugar, pepper and 1/2 c water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with spaghetti.
